Can I move home now that Ohio is under a Stay at Home Order? 

While non-essential movement outside the home is prohibited, the Order may allow for moving from one residence to another.  In order to determine your specific legal obligations during this time, you should consult with an attorney.  Eligible Ohio State Columbus campus students can schedule a phone appointment online.

If I moved out and moved home, do I still have to pay rent? Can I terminate my lease? What else should I do?

I heard that the Courts are closed, what does that mean for evictions and rent escrow?

The Franklin County Municipal Court issued an Administrative Order on March 17, 2020.  The Order contains information concerning filing evictions, evictions hearings, and set-outs during the COVID-19 public health crisis.  While the Order allows for filing for rent escrow, the Order continued rent escrow hearings.

I can’t pay my utilities, what should I do?
