Alyson W. Tucker
As Chief Counsel of SLS's Criminal Defense team, Alyson Tucker leads a team of three attorneys and one support staff in providing high-quality client services, developing appropriate resources, and implementing necessary strategies to meet client needs. She anticipates and appraises trends to determine case strategies to provide zealous advocacy to students. Alyson and her team pride themselves on delivering exceptional quality representation during a time that is stressful and challenging for the student.
Alyson Tucker is a graduate of the Moritz College of Law and is licensed to practice in Ohio and Maryland. Prior to joining Student Legal Services, Alyson worked as Franklin County Public Defender successfully representing indigent clients charged with criminal and traffic offenses. Alyson gained invaluable experience and knowledge of the criminal justice system and developed relationships with judges and prosecuting attorneys. Alyson also handles the majority of SLS's victims assistance matters, including filing protective orders for students and representing them at hearings. In this capacity, Alyson tirelessly advocates to protect her clients’ rights and ensure their safety. Alyson enjoys getting to know her clients and assisting them with issues that may affect their academic success.
Outside of work, Alyson is usually at a hockey rink or softball field cheering on her two young children.
