Rights and Resources for Students During Protests

Ohio State students who attend, organize, or report on protests have rights that the law protects and resources to uphold those rights.

Protesting is a valuable tool for making voices heard, but it is important to stay informed about your rights and responsibilities. By understanding Ohio law, Ohio State policies, and the potential consequences, students can engage in peaceful and lawful protests.

Registered student organizations can contact Student Legal Services to schedule a presentation on this or other legal topics.
